Samsung has announced a special perk for those planning to buy a Galaxy Note 8.0 or Galaxy Tab 3 tablet. This perk is being announced in conjunction with Boingo and means one year of free hotspot access. This offer is available for those in North America and includes access to any of the 35,000 hotspots that are located between the US, Canada and Mexico.

Those considering a purchase should look towards any of the Galaxy Tab 3 models including the 7.0, 8.0 or 10.1. The Galaxy Note 8.0 offer will apply to the WiFi-only model and not the cellular connected carrier branded model. With that, the Boingo offer will be included in the box.

Details coming from Samsung instruct customers to look for the in-pack instructions to get up and running. Otherwise, while this offer is giving free Boingo access, it is arriving as part of Samsung’s Galaxy Perks program. Bottom line here, those planning to purchase either a Galaxy Note 8.0 or Galaxy Tab 3 now have an additional perk that may help shift them from thinking to buying.

On the topic of the Galaxy Tab 3, this family of devices came available for sale in the US as of yesterday, July 7th. As mentioned this family includes the 7.0, 8.0 and 10.1 models and they are priced at $199, $299 and $399 respectively. They can all be found with various retailers including Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart and others.

The Galaxy Note 8.0 arrived for sale in the US back in April. This tablet is priced at $399 and happens to be one that we spent some hands-on time with. Those considering the Galaxy Note 8.0 may benefit from our in-depth review we published shortly after the release.
